Welcome to the 2013 CountrySide Waves Swim Season!
The CountrySide Waves Swim Team is a local swim team for swimmers from 5 to 18 years of age who live in the CountrySide community in Potomac Falls, Virginia. The team is a member of the Colonial Swim League. We compete in the four major swim strokes: backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and freestyle. We also swim individual medleys (one length of each stroke) and age group and mixed age relays. Swimmers age 8 and under swim one lap of the pool (25 meters) in competition. Older swimmers swim two laps (50 meters) in competition except for the 9-10 butterfly, which is a 25 meter event.
If you have a unique situation that might keep you from registering your swimmer this summer, please contact a board member to see if we can work something out. Our goal is to offer a fun, healthy and safe activity for our CountrySide youth during the summer.
We are a non profit club, that is run by its elected Board of Directors which meets each month. All members are welcome at each meeting and encouraged to be involved in team activities and fundraiser.
